Full Program Itinerary

DAY 1 : MACUSHLA HOUSE

On arrival in Nairobi you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Due to flight connections you need to overnight in Kenya’s vibrant capital city.Enjoy a night’s stay at Macushla House in the lush Karen area. It is owner-managed and a great place to start your trip.

DAY 2 & 3 : MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE

Your Safari Guide will meet you at the hotel and transfer you to the Masai Mara. Enjoy lunch en-route to this Iconic Reserve with some of the best game viewing in the world! Arrive in the Masai Mara in the afternoon and enjoy a game drive.Spend 2 nights at the Mara Serena Lodge. Located in the middle of the Masai Mara, set high on a hill with views over the savanna. Activities include 3 game drives daily, traditional “bush dinners”, sunset drinks over the vast bush veld, breakfast next to the hippos in the hippo pools, or relaxing and enjoying the spectacular views from the hotel’s swimming pool and bar or dining area. The lodge has been designed to echo a traditional Masai manyatta, and rooms have super views onto the Mara River below.

DAY 4 : NAIVASHA

Due to bad road conditions in East Africa it is good to break journeys up. Today you will stop over in the Rift Valley to help with the long drive. The Great Rift Valley Lodge enjoys amazing views overlooking Lake Naivasha and the spectacular Valley below. Twin and double rooms are spacious and have private balconies, en-suite bathrooms and all modern facilities required.

DAY 5 & 6: AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

Today will involve a long transfer by road to one of Africa’s greatest Safari destinations – Amboseli National Park. Made famous through the amazing photographs of the massive snow covered peak of Kilimanjaro. Spend 2 nights at the Amboseli Serena Lodge which enjoys a unique position in the heart of this National Park. With uninterrupted views of Kilimanjaro and the savanna plains, you have constant photo opportunities. Enjoy game drives twice a day. Amboseli is well known for its huge elephant herds. There are also other large mammals such as hippos and buffalo, plenty of antelope grazing on the vast grasslands, and smaller interesting wildlife like hyena, jackals, warthogs and monkeys to add to the variety.

DAY 7 : LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK

Today you cross into Tanzania and a drive through to Lake Manyara National Park. Lake Manyara Serena Hotel stands on a 900 meter high escarpment with stunning views over the park and Lake. The Lake lies in a cleft in the Great Rift Valley and is 40km long and 13km wide. Enjoy super bird watching, especially flamingoes and keep your eye out for the tree-climbing lions!

DAY 8 – 9 : SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

Arriving in the vast and sensational Serengeti you are treated to those classic open African landscapes and dense herds that the area has become so famous for. “Serengeti” translates to “the endless plains” in theMasai language. The Annual Migration is the most famous attraction, where one million wildebeest and zebra search for the fresh grasslands. With panoramic views across the plains the lodge is perfectly located adjacent to the famous Western Corridor and Grumeti River. Enjoy spectacular game viewing during your 2 night stay. Bush walks are available around the lodge. Bush dinners under the African stars, breakfasts under the cool trees or barbeque lunches in the middle of the plains, all add to this once in a life time Safari experience.

DAY 10 – 11: NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA

To keep up with its famous neighbor the Ngorongoro Crater boasts the densest population of mammals within its 260km² as well as the largest number of Lion who don’t ever need to leave this wildlife paradise! Enjoy 2 nights at this world heritage site, adding to your already magnificent collection of wildlife photographs. 600 meters above the crater lies the Ngorongoro Serena Lodge, blending in so well with its surroundings that you can’t spot it from below. With uninterrupted views over the largest Crater on earth the rooms enjoy private balconies and classic African interiors.

DAY 12 : TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

An overnight stop to break the long journey back to Arusha, Tarangire National Park is a couple of hours away from the Crater Conservation Area. Tarangire Sopa Lodge is set amongst ancient baobab trees with great views of the landscape beyond. The Tarangire is home to one of the largest elephant populations in Africa and lots of birds. – a great way to unwind and end off your safari.

DAY 13 : DEPARTURE DAY

DEPARTURE DAY – Today you’ll be transferred to Arusha, and onto Kilimanjaro International Airport, for your flight home.
